DSB confirms: Green paint of BUK missile was removed from left wing MH17
Update October 13: DSB confirmed green paint found at left wing is from BUK missile
—
Jeroen Akkermans, a Dutch reporter for RTL Nieuws visited the MH17 crash site several times. He visited the area in July 2014 and took many photos. All of his photos taken during multiple visits to the crash site can be seen here!
Akkermans found out that between July 2014 and November 2014 someone removed green paint from the left wing of MH17.
One of the photos he made in July 2014 was of damage on the upper part of the left wing tip. Some green patches of paint can clearly be seen on photos Akkermans published. This is a different colour of green than the primer paint being used by Boeing. The photos below show this non native paint. (orginal photo in large resolution here)
Here is a picture showing the damage and a bit more of the wing. Here are some more places of the wing showing same colour of paint.
Four weeks after the first visit of Akkermans the wing was all of a sudden turned upside down.
In November 2014 Akkermans again made photos of the same damage at the same location of the wing. Clearly can be seen that the patches of green paint are almost gone!
The colour of the paint is very similar to green used on BUK missiles as can be seen in the picture below.
The item Jeroen Akkermans made for RTL Nieuws was broadcast October 10 2015 and can be seen below. Some other interesting facts are presented as well.

It is the more bluish version of emerald green. Well, it seems from the long chord 9M38M1 of the older BUK SA-11. We all know very well the photo series made by Jeroen Akkermans immediately after the crash; he really has done a wonderful job.
Now, if we dare to assume the whole world already knew from the start in July 2014 about that emerald green color on the wing, who would like to erase that paint within three months? Who would like to erase 9M38M1?
Separatists did not use Flight Radar which can be taken as proven. But it is quite unlikely they wouldn’t know their telephones were tapped by the SBU. And it goes very far to assume separatists at that time had no internet and did not know of this photo series on Flickr from the start.
Hence, we conclude separatists knew how to use telephones, the internet and Flickr.
If the separatists recognized the very special emerald color of the BUK-missile on the wings and they also knew of Flickr, it would be senseless to remove that paint.
Since, if they left the paint it later would be proven a BUK-missile by research of paint rests, but by removal they would deliver indirect proof by destruction of evidence. But indeed Jit would be inadmissible for court.
But maybe other parties could have placed a false flag by the gaudy removal of that color and by adding black rims purposely. What could that mean? What party wanted to imply a BUK-missile but not that older one? Maybe a newer kind of missile? Maybe the short and UNPAINTED chord of 9M317 from SA-17 Grizzly? From the Russians?
At this point destruction of evidence makes JIT inadmissible. Who may have interest in this? The answer possibly lies in insufficient knowledge in the first months after the crash of what parties used what kinds of BUK-missiles.

Basic Dimension:
“Separatists did not use Flight Radar which can be taken as proven.”
Why would you claim that? It is mentioned multiple times on VKontakte News of Snizhne and Overheard in Torez on July 16. The people of Torez/Snizhne were well aware of civilian aircraft overhead. They were clearly visible throughout the day on July 16.
Do you need citations, or do you know how to search for yourself?
A remarkable quotation from the confession taps (Bezler-major-Grek-Kozytsin) is that Kozytsin says “What did they do above Ukraine?”, when he talks about the MH17 crash. He seems not to have known they were civilian aircraft flying over.
Andrew:
– On July 17, it was a cloudy day and spotters probably did not perceive MH17 in the upper sky. They would only see the MH17 coming from far on Flightradar. And only Flightradar would identify the MH17 as a civilian aircraft. Also, a height indication would have been given. Therefore, it is nearly impossible the spotter of the BUK – with Flightradar on – would have perceived MH17, erroneously as a military plane. Hence, we do not think the spotter used Flightradar. But as stated earlier the operator on the BUK with IFF will later have considered the MH17 as an enemy plane.
– Therefore Flightradar plays a decisive role in the solution of the crash of MH17. Did separatists use Flightradar or not? Below 7 km they could figure out the AN-26 with binoculars and identify without Flightradar. But above 9700 meters there is no distinction possible without Flightradar.
– Hence, in this scenario, we consider the absence of Flightradar as evidence the separatists have not shot down an identified plane. For with Flightradar they would have timely identified MH17 as a civilian plane.
I guess it would be very similar to using sidewalk chalk on asphalt or concrete.
Or chalk on a chalkboard. That takes what? 20 seconds with an eraser?
It does not take a lot of rubbing or exposure to the sun for it to fade to almost nothing or rub off.
Weathering would break down the bonds of friction transfer of paint.
It is not like it is a professional paint job inside a closed in heated room with special paints that was used painting a Boeing 777 that would last in the weather.
They recommend you paint your house at least every 5 years at least on the sunny side.
Fare thee well

I would vote for isolation material from the Boeing itself.

Green paint of possibly ?

Not so sure of malicious removal.
Sidewalk chalk disappears quite quickly as well, and this just one hard surface rubbing against another and leaving a trace of chalky paint on it.
Fare thee well
I once said that it is not possible to not to have some particle of missile inside left wingtip. DSB confirmed I was right.
And A-A show how the tail break into pieces:
IMO, the green paint is on top of Boeing paint:
