Russia wants JIT to investigate failure to close airspace as well as include of radar data
In a talk with the Dutch ambassador to Russia, Russian deputy foreign minister Alexei Meshkov again said the Joint Investigation Team preliminary results are biased and not independant. Russia denies a BUK TELAR travelled in Eastern Ukraine and shot down MH17.
Russia states the failure of Ukraine to close its airspace highly contributed to the disaster. Russia also demands that raw primary radar data which was discovered in Russia just shortly before the JIT press conference at September 28 is included in the investigation.
Dutch ambassador stressed Russia to cooperate. Russia agreed it is important to prosecute the suspects.
Two days before the JIT press conference Russia presented radar images. It stated there is no BUK missile to be seen on radar and denies such a missile could be launched from Snizhne. The radar could not detect a missile flying in a northerly direction when launched from Zaroshenke. Russia claims a BUK missile was lauched from an area near Zaroshenke. JIT made public a telephone conversation made in June 2015 between separatists telling Zaroshenke was controled by separatists.
