Spokeswoman US Department of State “Russia denied responsibility for the downing of MH17”

Heather Nauert, spokesperson for the United States Department of State, in a pressconference at March 30 , 2018 stated that Russia denied responsibility for the downing of MH17. It has been a while someone of the White House mentioned MH17.
The United States Department of State, often referred to as the State Department, is the United States federal executive department that advises the President and represents the country in international affairs and foreign policy issues.
Nauert said:
“We’ve seen Russia again and again misinform, use disinformation, claiming that little green men went into Ukraine, denying responsibility for the downing of MH17. We do not talk much about that anymore. Russia is known for its disinformation campaigns”.

This reminds me of the despicable “open letter” from a group of self declared “independent journalists & experts on MH17” to Trump, shortly after his election. They pushed for a new investigation. I believe Trump has wisely ignored it, or?
