The Netherlands Foreign minister Blok will speech on MH17 at United Nations Security Council meeting May 29

Dutch and Australian government hold the Russian Federation liable for the downing of flight MH17. This was made public during a pressconference at May 25, 2018.

A day earlier, the Joint Investigation Team presented its conclusions stating  the BUK TELAR which was used in the downing of MH17 belonged to the 53rd Brigade of the Russian army.

Despite many requests by the JIT for Russia to provide information on this BUK, the people who operated the BUK and who was in command, Russia did not respond.

The Russia Federation signed United Nations Security Council Resolution 2166. The resolution expressed support for the “efforts to establish a full, thorough and independent international investigation into the incident in accordance with international civil aviation guidelines” and called on all United Nations member states “to provide any requested assistance to civil and criminal investigations”

The Netherlands Foreign Minister Stef Blok will speech at the UNSC meeting at May 29. The meeting starts at 15:00 local New York time or 21:00 Amsterdam time.
