The Netherlands House of Representatives passes legislation on MH17 trial
The House of Representatives has approved two bills making provision for those accused of downing flight MH17 to stand trial in the Netherlands. The bills were passed with the support of every party in parliament. The legislation implements the agreement on international legal cooperation concluded by the Netherlands and Ukraine in July 2017.
More information on the history of making the bill possible can be read here. In total it took 11 months from signing the treaty with Ukraine to having the bill approved.
