This photo does not show seats which were part of MH17

At November 9 2016 a photo appeared on Internet showing a DPR leader and a member of Russian parliament sitting on what appears to be a seat from an aircraft. Twitter users stated the seats were from MH17.

These seats are however not from MH17. Most likely these were used in a IL76.

 

Seats of MH17 did not have leather but some fabric. Colour was different as well.

The man on the right of this photo shows Alexander Zakharchenko, current head of state and Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed state and a rebel group Donetsk People’s Republic.

The man on the left is Sergei Shargunov. He is a journalist and member of Russian Parliament for party “Communist Party for Russian Federation”. He is a notorious supporter of the separatists. His personal website is here.

When this photo was made, by who and where is unknown.

The photo was probably first published at an Ukraine website which shows photos of war criminals.
